Wedgwood Egyptian rosso Antico terracotta sugar bowl with alligator knop.  This sugar bowl/lid dates from the early 19 centruy c. 1805-1815.  Interestingly the entire bowl/lid is in terracota with no black features.  The alligator couly possibly be a replacement as there are a couple of white areas on it's tail. However it does not appear to have any damage. These original Egyptian items can be costly, the price is adjusted to reflect it's unique condition. It is  a nice piece priced for someone who has always wanted to add a historical Egyptian specimen to their collection.
