Dark blue jasper dip Edward VIII Coronation pitcher was produced by Wedgwood to commemorate the anticipated June 1937 coronation of Edward VIII as signified by the Royal crown hovering over his head. His December 1936 abdication limited the production of these royal commemoratives and they are harder to source.
The pitcher is in very nice condition, it stands 5.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches wide and features the Royal crest on the reverse. It is well made with minimal blue bleeding onto the white reliefs, free from chips and damage with an unstained interior.
